British Fencing have delegated training and development to the ten BF Regions, giving them something to do at last other than organise competitions!
Their scope is to provide training for:
- Talent Development & Training (getting the best from our fencers)
- Coaching Courses & Master-classes (train the trainers)
- Workforce Development (how to organise competitions, fix equipment, etc)
- Refereeing (deliver consistent decisions)
Southeast Region have put together a package of training based around 3 fixed training weeks during Easter, Summer and Christmas and a variety of other courses to held at the same time as competitions. Fencing development is aimed only at the 13-20 age group at present. Go to http://www.southeastregionfencing.org.uk/ and follow the SE Hub Dev’t link.
